Greetings!

I recently upgraded my computer with some new parts because I had gotten tired of games stuttering and overall low performance. I upgraded the mobo, CPU, NVMe C:drive and RAM. I kept some old drives, which I formatted, and my GPU.
One of the games I like to play with my friends is Rocket League, and the Epic Games servers require your Windows 10 clock to be synchronized in order to use them, and this is where the problem starts. No matter what I do, I just CANNOT sync the time in the Windows 10 settings.

What I have tried so far:

  • Going through several guides like this one
  • Manually setting the time.
  • Syncing via the win 7 control panel - Sync doesn't work here either.
  • Bypassing the router by connecting directly to the modem.
  • Bypassing the network by connecting to my phones network.
  • Updating BIOS
  • Reinstalling Windows
  • Factory resetting both Windows and BIOS (I had to use CSM for post however)
  • Replacing the CMOS battery
  • Resetting BIOS using CLRTC

Nothing has had any effect whatsoever. I have made some noteworthy discoveries:

  • The time that Windows displays is in fact correct, and I think this is because the Win7 control panel manages to somehow auto-sync.
  • My laptop, which is connected to the same Microsoft user and network/router can sync.
  • My work laptop can also sync. It is connected to a different user but the same network/router.
  • My girlfriend has the same Mobo+cpu+ram combo as me and she seems to have the same problem. She can however play Rocket League because her computer had its last successful synchronisation in July this year whereas mine had its last in 2015-aug-01 02:00:00. So presumably her last sync is recent enough for the Epic Games servers to authorize her access. Something to note is that I chose to wipe all of my drives and install Windows from scratch when I upgraded my computer, whereas my girlfriend kept her Windows installation and just installed new drivers. I think this is the reason why her sync is so recent in comparison to mine.

I can deal with not being able to play Rocket League, but as of last week I can no longer launch Forza Horizon 4, despite reinstalling Windows, which is really bothering me.

Very thankful for any help!

Windows 10.0.19043

I'm trying to distinguish the new Windows 10 default settings app from the control panel that was also around in Windows 7. They both share a lot of settings, but the control panel is, at least in the case of time sync, more detailed.
