I am starting to save for a gaming pc and have chosen parts. I want to know if there is any modifications I should make. The built in wifi from the motherboard is important to me because my current wifi connection is bad. The games I am looking to play are shooters like call of duty and rainbow six siege, and others that aren't as beefy. The link attached is the pc parts list.[Pc Parts list](https://pcbuilder.net/rigs/9erAx2/)

There's not much benefit of a X570 motherboard, especially with a 3400G CPU which can't make use of PCIe 4.0. A B450 or B550 board would be cheaper and just as good.

If you're buying a dedicated graphics card as well I would look at a different CPU, such as the 5600X. Little bit more expensive than the 3400G but will perform a lot better. The 3400G is really only good if you plan on using the integrated graphics.

4500MHz RAM is overkill, and you'd be lucky to get it to run at those speeds anyway. Just grab a 3200MHz - 3600Mhz kit.

For the operating system buy a solid state drive (SSD) instead of a hard drive. You can always have a HDD as a secondary drive if you need more space but having an SSD for the OS and programs will make the system much more responsive.

A 750W power supply isn't needed for a system with a 3400G and 1050ti (200W power consumption). Look for a 550W unit instead.

I would try and get a 1080p 144hz monitor if you play a lot of RS6.

If you don't need the extra PCIe slots I would usually recommend an add in wifi card. Gives you a lot more flexibility in choosing motherboards, and you can always replace/upgrade the wifi card. Though, if your wifi is bad having a good wifi network card or built in to the motherboard is only one link in the chain. You also need to make sure your router is good and not too far away. Ideally ethernet is best and more reliable than wifi, though running a cable from the router to the PC is not always an option.

That 3400G is extremely overpriced. Get a 5600G, it's nearly the same price, if not cheaper, and much better.

You will also need an SSD, a 240gb should do as long as it has DRAM cache.

I would downgrade to a B550 and get an Intel Wifi 6 Gig+ AX200 desktop kit, they cost like 20.

That RAM should be fine at 3600. Will save you like 100 without too much performance difference.

Change that cooler to a Hyper 212 Black Edition. Same price, but cools better.

Don't get that 1050 Ti, it's not that good and is maybe like 20% faster than the built in GPU from the 5600G. Save the money and wait for GPU prices to drop

Just made a list, basically it has everything I mentioned above + a better case & PSU. If you won't be adding a GPU you can even get away with something like a 400w PSU.

The link listed above is what I would go for compared to what you have.
Get a GPU down the line, and you'll be fine for e-Sports titles, just don't purchase something stupid like a 1050ti for over 100USD

Most of the issues have been told above, but I will reitterate to make sure they're listed in one reply:

3400G is actually more expensive than the 5600G in USD

x570 is overkill for something like the 3400G, and still overkill for the 5600G

Hyper 212 Evo was good 10 years ago, there are much better for much more compettitve pricings

Your case choice literally has no ventelation.

The 1050ti that you've chose for the price is awful, anything more than 100USD for that card is a waste

The memory that you've chosen has no real world value, and you'd get better use spending your money on a 3600CL16 set.

Not sure why you're budgeting RGB fans in a case where you have a 1050ti and a 3400G?

PSU is fine, but I am really only familar with the MSI MPG series

as for a monitor, you're able to get more, for less.

Also I have no idea what site your using, but generally the things on it look more expensive than what I have been able to find....

See... what you're doing is trying to avoid getting a graphics card... and I get it... they are outrageous RN... but in that effort, ur paying too much for your processor, getting way more motherboard that you need, and paying way too much for ur ram...

You're gonna want a m.2 boot drive or it'll be 2000's slow...

Are you planning on gaming with this? If not.... it's fine... If so... check this out...

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-vs-AMD-RX-Vega-11-Ryzen-iGPU/3650vsm401440

that's vs a 1050... which I would also not recommend for gaming... lol... now let's look at it against the minimum GPU I would recommend to a gamer...

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB-vs-AMD-RX-Vega-11-Ryzen-iGPU/3639vsm401440

Save for a GPU.... buy a GPU... then buy the PC around it if ur using it for gaming IMO.... blowing $150 on overprice normal hardware isn't a good route

Again... if ur not gaming, it's sufficient... but I'd still get a m.2 boot drive

Userbenchmark is not something I would use for comparisons.
Use GPUMonkey/CPU Monkey for more reasonable results..

Otherwise your suggestions are spot on IMO.
a used 1060 would net much more performance than the 1050ti suggested.

  • Get a newer, more current gen CPU like their 5000 series
  • Used a wired connection when Wifi is bad
  • Go with 3600MHz ram those ram are way too expensive
  • Drop the 1050Ti it's overpriced
  • Drop the RGB case fans, your case already comes with fans. It's not RGB, but it gets the job done.

Here is a build I've configured

It uses AMD newer CPU.

Motherboard uses the B550 since the CPU won't need a high-end X570, and it still comes with wifi

A SSD is added to the build and a larger monitor

A lower wattage psu is good enough, but because you've choosen a 750, I went with the same wattage. Just in case of future upgrades, and regrets of should have gotten the 750w in the first place.

I don't know if you got a OS or not, so I also included Win10 to the build.

I'm pretty sure my brain went numb and didn't see the 1050ti in the build list... I was trying to figure out why the cpu/motherboard/ram was so expensive and assumed he was using the integrated graphics... 😛

On that note I would get the cheapest Ryzen 5 5xxx cpu you can find... a B-series motherboard cause ur not overclocking this thing... and 16GB of the cheapest DDR4 you can find.... you will not notice the difference.... the only thing your CPU needs to do is not bottleneck your GPU... the only thing your RAM needs to do is have enough not to crash... you don't have the budget to buy a GPU that the lowest model ryzen 5 will choke... throw in a m.2, as I said before, and that's the biggest speed upgrade you will ever see (maybe if quantum processors become mainstream one day?)...

I would recommend any Nvidia GPU 10xx+ model with xx being 60+... I would recommend some AMD models but they are bitcoin mining machines direct from the factory and you won't find them... if you want a gaming PC, you will have to bite the bullet on a GPU in this market.... they are super, super overpriced... but that doesn't change what they go for :X

Fortunately, old models are still perfectly viable... so you don't need a current gen to game with

Also... if you need an OS... if you type in windows 10 into Google there may or may not be places that may or may not sell keys for much, much, much cheaper than $129.... :X

If you want the latest 3060 you can go about getting a 1000USD system with a 10400f and it would be much better than what the original PCList was…

ABS on Newegg is where I would start.

ur not wrong, either.... what has this world come to where you can't save $500 off the typical prebuilt pc with garbage PSUs/chinese off-brand motherboards/chinese off-brand ram/obsolete drive bays/plastic keyboard that weighs 1/4 lb/rolly ball mouse 😢
