PC POST successfully initially but upon second startup it does not boot after pressing power on button

Just finished building my PC and it successfully POST for the first time. So i switched it off by holding the power button (i failed to notice the restart button) and prepped my USB stick to install Windows, however, this time it does not start after i press the power button. I tried resetting CMOS twice and checked all cable connections to no avail.

• Tecware Nexus AIR TG
• Nvidia GTX 970

Is the USB stick still in the PC?

 

What happens if you try to power it on, anything?

 

Is the PSU switch on (I) ?

 

How long did you remove the CMOS battery?

 

Whats the "air" thing?

 

 

Btw here's what I did after building my PC:

Plug in USB stick with windows 10 ISO

 

Turn on PC

 

Install windows 10

 

Log into windows 10, install Nvidia driver

 

Reboot, go into BIOS, set XMP

 

Reboot again,  log into windows...

 

Seems less risky to me that way than running the risk to screw something up *before* windows is installed.
