fraudulent charges for "Microsoft * Ultimate 1 M msbill.info WA

puppo

maybe this is the wrong plasce to ask, but  I've been fraudulently  charged $14.99 monthly for "Microsoft * Ultimate 1 M msbill.info WA. It appears this has been reported several times in recent years. the strange thing is that i closed my xbox game pass because i didnt need it anymore, and in the xbox site no subscriptions, so i tought that the game pass was finally ended, but today i found 14,99$ taken from my bank account. I cant find a way to contact microsoft or just get my money back, is it a way i can contact them and get my moneys back?

Goes to MS account and remove saved payment method for the time being. In case below doesn't work.

Then this.

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/manage-subscriptions/cancel-recurring-billing-or-subscription

i removed the card from microsoft and i already cancelled the subscription. the strange thing is that if i go to subscriptions ecc... there is a failed payment of the xbox subscription, and it says "subscription deleted", and if i go to the payments nothing shows on the current date. what do i have to do? will my moneys be gone forever?

Get your bank to dispute the charge.

but it may come with a caveat that the bank cancels your card and reissues a new one with a new number so it wont be charged again.

Contact MS support to ask? You maybe didn't cancel in time before autorenewal.

Pre-authorisation. Depends on their systems the payment may be queued up to 2 weeks before the payment date to avoid any interruptions to your account depending on when the renewal falls. It is fairly common practice,

Which is a common side effect of such systems.

A lot of subscribtion-based things say you do need to cancel at least 2, 4, 6 weeks before renewal, no idea for Xbox Live as I've never used it but it'll be somewhere in the small print.
