My build any suggestions would be great!

JKremer259

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x

Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2

RAM: Crucial Ballistix RGB 3200 MHz (8gb X 2)

Graphics Card: RTX 3080 (Assuming ill eventually maybe get MSRP or close to)

Case: NZXT H710

Storage: Samsung 980 Pro M.2 2280 1TB

CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X53

I play a lot of different video games from fast paced shooters to big story games and everything in between. Hoping to have a build that should last a while which is why I have the 3080 on there. My monitor is an ultra wide 1440p 144 hertz. Any suggestions on where I could save a little bit of money or just something that is priced about the same and would be a better bang for the buck.

For the ram just ensure it is at least 3200MHz CL16. If its 3600MHz, CL18 or CL16.

The case is overkill, save $80-$100 and get a corsair 4000D or a Fractal Meshify case. Open front panel of course. not solid. Solid front panel will suffocate your 3080

If you wanted to save more Money, you would be fine with 240 or 280mm AIO. I run a 5900x on a Corsair 240mm and it keeps temps well within spec. A 280 would run plenty quiet. Just check case compatibility.

They are good together.

I recommend 3600 CL18.

Should be enough for 4K gaming.

Better airflow than other NZXT cases, but unless you really want this case, there are better options like the fractal design meshify 2, phanteks p400a mesh front panel.

But that's also personal taste.

Veangeance rgb is overpriced trash, go for crucial ballistix 3600mhz cl16, even has an rgb verison, though a cheap 3200mhz cl16 kit will be adequate and you arent losing much performance comapred to 3600mhz cl16, maybe around 2-3%, 3600mhz cl18 is the same as 3200mhz cl16 so dont bother

980 pro is completely useless for everyone that doesnt run server like workloads and regularly transfer massive files, go for a kingston a2000 or mushkin pilot e instead

Aio is completely useless unless you want to overclock or want silence, tbh just get a fuma 2 or any cheap dual tower, theyll keep your temps cool and also run quiet, though if you really insist with an aio get the liquid freezer aios, some really good bang for buck aios, the 280mm verison beats a d15 whilst being quieter

Case is overpriced, apparently it isnt a pc bake oven like a h510? But a mesh case will be much better, maybe a p400a, meshify, or focus g

Otherwise the cpu and board seem like sensible choices, you could upgrade to a 5900x with the money saved but it wont do you any good unless you do some productivity work like video editing, if you dont squander your money you can get a good gpu, 3080 and msrp is impossible unless you can order quick on nvidia site and that goes out of stock real fast, realisticly maybe a 3070(ti)
