Asus xonar dgx + onkyo sr-507 + sennheiser pc 360

So I have been using xonar dgx + sennheiser 360 for many months now and I'm happy after using onboard audio + ss siberia v2. I also have onkyo sr-507 A/V receiver for speakers.

Today for the first time I plugged my sennheisers in onkyo and damn music got much better. So now I listen music using xonar -> onkyo -> sennheiser.

I don't know much about audio so I want to know what you guys think about this setup and is there something I can do to make it better.

I might buy higher-end headphones and/or better soundcard sometime in the future, but not anytime soon (no money). However I will write every suggestion down so that when I can I know what I should do to upgrade my audio :).

I used to play a lot of fps games so thats why I have sennheiser 360 headset. Now I mostly watch movies/series and listen music. My tower and other speakers are nothing special, but I'm not looking to upgrade them. Atm I'm only thinking about getting better headphone/headset sound quality for music/videos.

hd 558 with external mic?? or custom one pros if u like closed style excellent comfort(i have a pair)
