Very strange issue with brand new monitor

JamesHewitt

My friend bought a  msi optix g271 and for some odd reason it looks like this using any device (Pc, mac, PS5) and any other HDMI cable.

Anyone have a clue what could be causing it or is it busted?

Have you reset the onboard settings to default, or looked trough them?

Might be an HDR setting thats incorrect.
If that doesnt work i can only think of sending that in for warranty.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Doesn't have HDR, out of the box settings.

I assume it's a backlight issue or something as it looks fine through sharescreen just obviously not in person.

Tried different HDMI and the second HDMI socket on the monitor but no change. Friend doesn't have a display port cable.

Reboot system and reset monitor and look afterwards for gpu driver settings.

Will do that now, have swapped it through devices but maybe a reboot will help.
