Transporting PC Question

AFantasyHero

Hi guys!. I have a small PC case. I used to have a MIcro-ATX board, a 30 cm GPU and a Hyper 212 cooler.
I had transported my previous PC without disassembling any parts a couple of times by bus for over 300 KM.
I had filled my PC with bubble wraps and fortunately the components didn't take any damage.
Now I have upgraded my PC one with an ATX board.

I was wondering if the ATX board is more prone to cracking or taking damage comparing to the Micro-ATX one or not?

Appreciate any comments on this!

I don't think so unless you have bought a lower quality motherboard. But even lower quality motherboards these days come with a lot of layers of PCB so very unlikely your motherboard will be the one breaking. You better look out for that hyper 212 and the GPU more since they sag off the motherboard without much support, making THEM the one prone to damage.

As others have said, I would pull the GPU, since its most likly item to break. No atx vs micro atx won't be any different for wear.

I would suggest taking out the cooler and GPU, your motherboard is pretty unlikely to break if you remove those, they're the concern.

Depends how you plan to transport it. Car? Bus? Box? Back seat? You haven't really given us much to go off of.

Also, bubble wrap can cause a lot of static. I probably wouldn't use it, unless you get anti static bubble wrap.
