Corsair 650 RMX + 3070 ti =enough power?

Go to solution Solved by FRD,

If your 3060 works, a 3070 Ti should be fine too. You can even run a 3080 on a 650W. Most importantly it must be a good quality PSU, which yours is.

I also use a Ryzen 5 2600, the power draw is not that crazy. Even if you had a 5600X it would draw a lot more power and heat, but it still would be fine.

650W is only not enough if you have a ton of fans, HDDs or other things that require extra power.

I just got a RTX 3070 ti FE from the BestBuy drops. Was hoping to get a 3060ti but I'm happy with this too. My setup is kinda of budget:

Ryzen 5 2600

Corsair RMX 650

If I add this card will I experience any issues or should I be fine? I try searching up and I found that it should be ok but I'm bottlenecking. My current GPU is a EVGA 3060 and it works good

Thanks, I do got 6 fans in here but I'll try it out and see if I need to take some out or upgrade the PSU

6 fans should be fine. They really only draw just a few watts each, don't take fans out to save on power. It's always good to have more airflow.

I think you should be fine with the PSU, the RM650x is a top rated PSU and A tier in the list on this forum.

I can pull 630w with my setup running f@h. You might be ok? The manufacturer of my card says 750 minimum.. I have a pretty barebones setup right now.

650 watts should be more than enough for that setup, you have a good psu. The CPU is only 65 watts. I'd run it

No cpu mobo or ram atm

2tb wd black gen 4 nvme

2tb seagate hdd

Corsair rm750x

Be quiet 500dx

Gigabyte m34wq 3440x1440

Xbox series x

Kind of like how your CPU is only 65w?

The Core i7-10700 claims 65W, but draws up to 214W under load, at motherboard default

Or like how my 5900X is only 105w, but can easily double that figure.. yet only pull 65w doing nothing at the wall.. just like my 65w 5600X can more than double its rating too. But to be fair you have to hammer on the system a little to get it do draw jo0s so he would probably be ok.

RM650x should power that just fine, actually.
