PC won't boot up after installing ram

ItzUknown

Hello,

I had the idea of recycling some components from my old computer to build a "newer one". Because I have sold my old i5 3570 (loved that chip) I bought a used i5 2500k. When I installed the memory I made sure that the sticks were installed correctly because I have 2 different sets of ram. Both are from Kingston and they have worked flawlessly for the past 5-6 years, though when booting up I only see a black screen and nothing is detected (no mouse or keyboard). After taking those sticks out and I leave only 2 sticks installed it boots up. Does anyone know what's going on?

P.S The graphics card is pretty old and has been acting up lately, I don't know if that affects the RAM though.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried clearing CMOS when swapping/installing RAM?

What @leclod said. Add motherboard info as well.
If we don't know what modules you are using, we have no idea if they are even compatible
