Hi Tech community!

(EDIT: Didn't realise there was a troubleshooting topic place, mods/admins feel free to move to appropriate seciton 馃檪)

PC Specs:聽

Quick question about Nvidia and their driver installation and an issue that I have with my GPU.

As of late I have noticed that when I check "Perform a clean installation" windows seems to restart and default to the default windows drivers.

Question: When I tick "Perform a clean installation" does it complete a full clean install (fully removing old/buggy drivers)?

Explaination: When the old driver is removed does all of the GPU driver information get removed and reinstalled.

Why im asking:

My GPU when it reaches 80掳C it's fans whirr into like 200% speed. As when I put it on 100% speed using MSI Afterburner it does not go as loud.

I have previously tried to remove this from happening however I can't seem to remove the fact that it does this. Which annoys my a lot 馃槢

If you need any more information regarding this let me know, happy to provide more information 馃檪

Would you guys have any other recommendations on how to fix this issue please let me know 馃檪

Use DDU (display driver uninstaller), it will remove your current drivers and you can do a fresh install after.

try a custom fan curve in msi afterburner, if the fan are going 100% regardless there could be an issue with the card if temps are still low.

I have tried a DDU before to no avail.

The fan ramp only happens when at 80掳C, never under that temp. So that is why I am confused as to why it happens.

I had also set a custom fan curve on MSI afterburner. Tried putting the fans to 100% always which didnt seem to work.
