Gaming on Server Cards?

I found and Intel Xeon Phi Coprocessor 31S1P on Facebook for $170. The seller says it has 57 cores and 228 threads and 8gb max memory size. You can look it up on the Intel website, and was wondering if I can used for gaming or can play games.

these are co-processors, i dont think any games are coded to use these...?

Yes, since I can't really find any decent graphics cards for a good price, maybe this will replace it?

No it wouldn't run barely anything

No, that's not how those cards work. It's a coprocessor card, not a GPU. It's designed for crunching data.

"Server cards" doesn't mean the same thing about every card. The card you linked would have likely been used in a workstation, not a server. Server GPUs can run games and such, but it's not really something you'd want to start out with.

If you can buy the Titan, go for it. It's much better than a 710.

 

But do not forget, it require +200W.
