Best method to prevent corrosion

Planning to get these below mentioned EK water cooling parts

EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ
EK-RES X3 250 Glass Tube
EK-D5 Vario (12V DC Pump)
EK-CoolStream RAD XTX

Will these corrode?

What difference does EK Supremacy Nickel and EK Supremacy Copper etc blocks have?

And also how can i prevent corrosion if i am having an aluminium motherboard water block?

Best way to prevent corrosion would be to ensure that all the metals are the same. Beyond that - use a really solid coolant and change it out every few months.

if it's galvanized aluminum you don't have to do anything

otherwise you use a gylcol based coolant, automobile coolant mixture, anti-corrosive additives, or PC coolant that contains anti corrosives.

it's not that big of a deal.

True but EK doesn't mention the material used in their EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ. :S

And for the rad, this is what they mention

Material:

- Copper fins

- 90% copper tube (H90)

- Brass chambers

- Steel housing

You can get anti corrosion additives for coolant, but you should just not use that aluminium block.

This is the actual deal. I am planning to use an Asus Maximus 6 Formula. It has a built in water block for motherboard.

Oh. You're fine as long as you use anti corrosive coolant.

I think that CPU block is nickel, maybe copper, but definitely not aluminium.

With EK you'll be pretty safe. Most, if not all of the mainstream CPU Block manufacturers seem to have stopped making Aluminium W/C components for the most part. (thank god)
