what does that mean? all core oc to max boost clock? not going to happen. Motherboard does not affect OC that much, since OC depends of the silicon of the cpu itself.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Yes. Boost only, not an all core oc.

I wanted to ask which is better ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming  vs MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk AMD

The MSI B550 Tomahawk is in Tier C (125 A current), which is enough to max out AMD's 5900X.
The ASUS B550-F is in Tier A (200A current), which is enough to max out AMD's 5950X.

I never overclocked anything.
But I read a lot to decide if I want to go for overclocking or not.
Here is what I got to know (No idea if something of that is wrong):

If you want to overclock your CPU with Intel, you need a CPU with a K in it's name, which is more expensive than the usual model.
Also you need a motherboard with an intel chipset with a Z in it, to be able to overclock. Z motherboards cost extra too.

If you go for AMD, all their CPU are overclockable and all mainboards do support it (as long as the VRM can deliver enough current).

If you overclock your CPU, it will need more power and it will procude more heat. So you should replace the stock cooler to something like a big air cooler or a 3 fan AIO watercooler.

Overclocking can get you up to about 10% better single core performance, but you risk your system to crash, so it will become less stable, you will need to move away more heat, which means your fans need to spin more RPM, which makes then louder.

I wanted a good stable PC, which is fast and quiet. So since I was going for Intel, I saved the extra money of overclocking (Z motherboard and K CPU) and used the money to pick an i7 instead of an i5. So I used the money to make my system faster but in a more stable way than overclocking.

My build:

CPU

Intel Core i7 9700 8x 3.00GHz So.1151

Thank You so Much This is really helpful. I literally Get shocked With K And Z Motherboard. and suppose I7 Running At stock with rtx 3070 And On the other side one I7 Running at max Boost Clock With rtx 3070 both will be same Or There be Difference in FPS

It depends on the resolution.
For 1080p, the CPU is important, because the graphics card will calculate a lot of frames and the CPU will need to process them.

For 1440p and 4K the graphics card becomes more important, so it won't make much of a difference.

For gaming, single core performance is very important.
So an overclocked i5 might be better than a stock speed i7.

You already built 2 PC on your own. So you might have more experience than me.

All I did, was reading other peoples questions about overclocking and the answers of some 1000-Post gurus.

This is my first topic here, were I asked other people for opinions on my build and about overclocking 😄
