Concept for first build, possible advice?

Lazs

Budget (including currency): ~2,000$ CAD

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Basic video editing software, RDR2, Doom Eternal, Minecraft, similar programs

Other detailsI'm trying to upgrade from a 1000$CAD HP Pavilion laptop. I would have to buy peripherals as well. This would be my first build, so don't be too harsh lol

Parts list so far:

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (Wifi-6)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16

SSD: Samsung 980 PRO SSD 500GB - M.2 NVMe

HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Internal Hard Drive HDD

Case: Corsair Icue 220T RGB Airflow

PSU: Corsair RM Series, RM650, 650 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified

Cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT

-----------------------------------

For the GPU, I have 3 main ideas. 1660S, 1080ti, maybe 2070. (all Nvidia)

Just looking for any possible tweaks I could make to this build. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Changed the MOBO, and confirmed the Cooler as the AIO.

ok so, the partlist is very good, ill suggest you to choose a 1080ti or a 2070, and for the cooler i would choose the corsair Icue h100i, because yk, ryzen are kinda hot, if you can try to buy a kit of ram 3600MHz

Looks good overall. Only thing I can really suggest is ways to save money. You could go with an i5-10400 which is much cheaper 6 core processor that's only slightly slower. Alternatively, you could go with the i7-10700 for around the same price for 8 cores. In terms of gpu, depends of the pricing you can find. It's pretty rough out there if you don't plan to do any mining with the gpu to offset costs. For the cooler the hyper 212 evo will probably be fine, but if you want a cooler CPU the AIO would be better.
