@Skiiwee29 Well, thank you for you input....according to the specs...F12 uses 0.08A & F14 uses 0.11A, which I guess should be fine. And regarding that CPU_OPT header, could I use that as well just for the fans? I have no intention to use water cooling.

Yep, perfect on both ends.

Hello, recently my Aorus AX370-Gaming 5 board died, so I had to replace it with Aorus X570 Elite. Everything works fine, except there's a shortage of fan headers. While AX370 had plenty of free fan headers, it's a bit different story with X570 Elite. I have 7 fans mounted in my case....3 frontal fans (Arctic F12 Silent 3-pin), 1 system fan, 1 cpu fan & 2 fans (Arctic F14 Silent 3-pin) in the middle for exhaust. Checking the manual & the board itself, there's 1 CPU fan header, 2 system fan headers & there's also one listed as CPU_OPT. So as it stands for now, I have only connected my CPU & System fan, I was planning to use fan splitter to connect the remaining fans to the one free SYS FAN header, but is it safe to do it? Also, would it be possible to connect fans to the CPU_OPT header or is that reserved only for water cooling? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Most fan headers are rated for 1 amp, so as long as you don't come close or exceed that, you're fine. Most fans have it labelled on there motor hub how many amps they use. Most are usually between .1 and .3 amps at most in most cases.

In addition to my question.....would a fan hub be a better solution?

It's the same as a splitter but in a different form factor. Go with whichever is most convenient. I find simple splitters the easiest for cable management.

The cpu_opt header is just another fan header and probably shares fan settings with the cpu_fan header. If using the same settings works for you, feel free to plug a fan into it. Make sure that the header is set to the appropriate mode (pwm / dc) for the fan.
