Guest account has custom username

Looking at a Techlinked Sources post

 

What happened?

I saw that "Guest Thirsty Guest" had posted, but their account is a Guest account

 

What did you expect to happen?

That the "Guest Thirsty Guest" account to be named Guest, or to have the Member account type

I'm on a school Chromebook with weird filtering rules.

 

If it's a cloudflare error, what was the ray ID from the bottom of the error page?

Thanks for reporting, the permissions were set up wrong in there. That post will still have a name associated with it, but there shouldn't be more in future.

I'm curious, was that an actual account, an experiment gone wrong, or a bug?

It was a guest (ie someone that hadn't signed up for a user account), because the permissions were somehow incorrectly set up to allow guests to post there.
