My laptop's CPU thermal throttles despite low usage when gaming

While gaming, CPU temps reach 90°C almost instantly even though its usage never passes 50%. I experience major frame-drops in Fortnite roughly every 5-10 seconds, even with some of the lowest graphical settings. Other games run at the same temperature, but do not have frame-drops. Are there any settings that I should mess with, whether in-game or with Windows?

 

Model: ASUS Zephyrus GA401I (Gaming Notebook)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 4900HS with Radeon Graphics

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with Max-Q Design

Ram: 16 GB DDR4
