Removing Fan Stickers On Gpu - Warranty Void?

Really depends if the stickers cover the entrance to the magnets/ball bearings or something.

They were quick to respond

Asus said that as long as the serial numbers are still intact and that the warranty sticker on the back of the card is also intact the warranty is still there. So with Asus cards it doesn't void the warranty if you remove the front stickers from the fans (which it shouldn't). Now I can finally remove the TUF stickers and get some custom ones instead.

Does anyone know if removing the stickers on the GPU fans voids the warranty? Maybe its different from manufacturer to manufacturer, I have an Asus card and would like some custom stickers on the fans instead but I wasnt sure if it would void the warranty, I have contacted Asus but they said it can take up to 72 hours before I get a response.

If your GPU breaks in a way they cant use it, they have no way of finding out the serial number so can't do much. If it isn't broken in a bad way, they can still use programs to find the SN, but chances are small they are going to try that. I would keep the stickers on

My guess would be it wouldn't void the warranty, since the warranty isn't void if the stickers are damaged by other means, but you can wait for support to get back to you if you want to be sure. Otherwise you could put your stickers on top of the existing stickers and just peel them back off if you need to RMA the card.

Its stickers on the front of the GPU, all they got on them is just an Asus Logo.

I mean technically it would be modifying the card but also the warranty void if removed stickers haven't been legally representable since the mid 1980s.

Do you have a reference to this?  I'm curious as many other non-pc parts I work on have these stickers and as long as the warranty is good we don't mess with them unless the manufacturer gives us the okay.

It's Asus, they'll blame you for damage and not rma it till you threaten legal action. They suck for warranty purposes

They were quick to respond

Asus said that as long as the serial numbers are still intact and that the warranty sticker on the back of the card is also intact the warranty is still there. So with Asus cards it doesn't void the warranty if you remove the front stickers from the fans (which it shouldn't). Now I can finally remove the TUF stickers and get some custom ones instead.

PNY gave me the same answer when i wanted to replace mine and the answer they came with was basicly "couldnt care less what was there" but more formally.
