Lenovo Legion y720 not charging after replacing charge port.

My Lenovo Legion y720 is not charging after replacing charge port. The charge port broke in half so I ordered a new one and replaced it. It was charging at first but then it stopped charging and would kinda charge and it would kinda flicker, but now nothing happens, is it a board issue? Or should I get another charge port? We also just replaced the charger in march.
