Can someone help me with saving a little money on a gpu? if you have any recomendations listing them would be a huge help (:

Budget (including currency): aud, I was hoping to get a good one under $1,000

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly hard gaming, video editing and possible software developing.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

i was going to get the Asus ROG strix B550-F Motherboard so compatabilty would be nice.

My understanding is the Aussie used market got better recently.  Perhaps used?  I don’t know if that lasted or not.  All my information about the Australian market comes from hardwareunboxed and techyescity which I only ever even see if the YouTube robot overlords feel I should, so it’s not like I have a direct ear to the ground.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

There is no help to give other than to say just watch for retail drops and hope you get lucky. That's the only way to get a GPU at a decent price.
