No wifi on wine

2 things

1. Can someone quickly explain exactly what wine is

2. I dont seem to have any wifi in apps emulating through it (at least i think its emulation)

My linux distro is ZorinOS 15.4, no clue on the wine version. I dont know if it happens with other apps but I was trying to run "Trackmania Nations Forever" and it said I was offline if that helps at all.

WINE is a compatibility layer for Linux and BSD. It's not emulation, you're just using windows like libraries to run you're software.

For online access you need to open some ports on your router from what I see (I don't play the game so not sure).

You are probably missing "gnutls lib32-gnutls" which means your probably also missing other various libraries. I believe Zorin OS is based on Ubuntu Bionic

Go to https://www.gloriouseggroll.tv/how-to-get-out-of-wine-dependency-hell/ and do what it says under the Linux Mint Section, following Mint 19.x,  and see if it solves your issue.
