Using damaged standoffs for new motherboard

Will preparing from updating my current pc with a new motherboard, I found out that I was missing 3 additional standoffs for
accommodating my new ATX board.. My case have 6 standoffs already installed and 3 are normally included with it. Unfortunately
that PC is a prebuilt and I never got the box with the included standoffs. The guy from the computer store did not want to help
me or give me additional standoffs.

I managed to get additional standoffs from another computer case that have standoffs not used. I took a plier to unscrew the unused
standoffs and I damaged them a little in the process.

Should I still use them? The thread part is not damaged, only the sides. Does it matter for my motherboard?

They certainly don't appear damaged in a way that would affect the motherboard. It would be fine

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

They're good to go. Just make sure the length is close (These come in different lengths, and will flex the mobo if it's too different.

I would still paint the bare metal just to be safe but honestly itll be fine for the motherboard.

Exposed metal like that is liable to rusting imho, or atleast oxidation. Wont look pretty when you open it up and it could be PITA to remove.

Yeah but OP's looks like straight metal alloy.
