My usb c to hdmi adaptor gets really hot

Wanta3060

I bought a usb c to HDMI adaptor to get a second display out to my acer laptop computer with a i7 67000hq and a 960m not that that is important. Whenever i use it it gets really hot i have one from a company called qgeem I was wondering if that is okay or if there is and easy fix for it that would not cost any money. btw it also turns of 1 second at a time then turns back on when it gets hot

If it's always done that, it's likely a normal thing. Did you plug it into USB-C or Thunderbolt?

Try plugging it into an available USB-C instead if you can. It might be receiving too much power.
