Are the 8 pin to 6 pin adapter safe?

hi guys, i have a 8pin pcie cable in my pc and i wanna buy a 6 pin pcie vga, but i am afraid from the adapters.

What model power supply do you have? Typically PCIe power connectors are done as 6+2 connectors that can be joined together to form an 8 pin connector or split apart to use as a 6 pin connector.

Your motherboard PSU advertises to have two 6+2 pins for PCIE. Take a deeper look into the connectors.

its sad bcs i see the website, and on my box there is a 6+2 pcie cable but i dont see it.  i see only 8 pin

They might be clipped in together. Does it split apart?

To add to the clarification

If it splits into 4+4, it's for the CPU specifically

If it splits into 6+2, it's for pcie devices

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
