Hello everyone, I’ve had my computer for about a year now. Never faced any hardware issues with it, other then a fried PSU but I had warranty over my product and had it replaced. Just within the last month, my computer has been freezing on more demanding games, like escape from tarkov. It happens randomly, it can be either 10 minutes playing or a hour, but it always happens, only on more demanding games. At first I thought it was simply a problem with escape from tarkov, however, after getting my valve index today and playing half life alyx and getting a freeze the first 20 minutes in, I realized I had a much more serious problem on my hand. However, my computer doesn’t freeze on normal use, or games that are less demanding, like people playground. And suggestions? All my drivers are up to date, and I’ve checked my CPU and SSD health and both are perfectly fine. Ive also noticed, my keyboard lights will flash off, then on every single time before it happens. at first i thought this was unrelated, but it does it every single time. Im not sure what i have on my hands here.

Nope, never poked around in BIOS. was too afraid to overclock, cause i wouldn't know what to do. I feel like it could maybe be a faulty GPU, as i had a power surge last year around October, and sent my PC back to California to have it repaired as i still had warranty. They replaced the PSU, CPU, MB and that's it. I feel like the power surge could have dealt damage to my gpu, but not enough for it to be noticed when it was being repaired, and now its starting to fail. Its just the keyboard flashing, and me not being able to talk on the mic in discord with my friends makes me feel it isn't gpu related, but maybe it still could be. I don't know that much about computers, i just like playing games with my brother whos off in college now. Just wanna hear some opinions from some people educated in this field such as yourself
