Welcome to the forums.

The cost of this particular system is a very important determining factor of whether it's a good value or not, so please tell us that. Also, please provide your max budget as that might change certain recommendations.

Honestly, that's not a great system unless you're on a tight budget and it's a really good deal. There's a number of issues, including:

  • 2600 is two gens old now. It's fine for a budget rig, but again, the price would have to be *really* low to validate that.
  • 8GB of RAM in a prebuilt is almost always going to be a single stick. Running single channel will drastically reduce the system's performance. If it is only a single stick, you should budget for another stick immediately to add to it.
  • 3000Mhz is slow for Ryzen, which is very sensitive to memory clockspeed.
  • No SSD in a prebuilt in this day and age is virtually criminal. Once again, this better be the deal of a lifetime, or that's a big no.
  • Never heard of that PSU, but an odd number of watts like 720 is never a good sign. A bad PSU not only is dangerous, but actually affects your performance as well.

It would be interesting to know the cost of the system. It's honestly very odd for a company to be selling a prebuilt with these kinds of spec. It's almost as if it was actually put together 2 years ago, and has just been sitting in a warehouse somewhere since.

Also, depending on the type of programming you're doing, this system is either meh or completely unacceptable. Light Python scripts or frontend web dev: passable. Full on large software projects in C++ or something: no way. You'll be waiting on your compile until next year.

The price is the real determining factor for if this is a good system. All of those components are older and will start showing their age, but not enough that they would be unusable. It would still make a good 1080p gaming rig. It does still have it's problems, 8GB of memory isn't really enough for a gaming computer now, and that power supply is very suspicious since it seems to be only sold in Europe and most reviews are talking about basic office use with it. As said above, a cheap power supply hurts performance, as well as being a fire risk. If you do get this system, be sure to swap it out for something better from a reputable brand. Because of that, if you're getting if for say $300-400 US, I would call that a pretty decent deal. If you're gonna be spending $1000 US, that would be insane and you should run.

I do want to point out that his is still 2nd gen Ryzen, which is notorious for having weak memory controllers. 3000MHz is slow for new Ryzen, yes, but for 2nd gen you can get unlucky and have this be the fastest you can run a memory kit at (I've seen it happen)

light gaming maybe. what games do you plan on playing? it will probably run most games but it is not going to be a great experience hdd is gonna suck, you will need to put at least a 256 gb SSD, NOT a Kingston a400, but if you plan on only doing light gaming you can use ssd as boot drive and hdd for storage

8gb ram you can use it will be ok but don't expect to play warzone and have a good experience. ryzen 5 2600 still problaby ok but it's kinda old.i don't know anything about programming so I'm not gonna say anything about that

That sounds a bit high for it, but depending in your part of europe that might be what it's worth. I'm still a big proponent of buying an old Dell optiplex and throwing in a graphics card. You can find one with an i5 8500 or 8600, throw in a GTX 1060 and a new PSU, and have a better computer for less money (considering you can find a good deal on one).
