You mean something like plunging the whole thing in non-conductive fluid?

I've seen it done, but it seems overkill to me. The heat sinks and basic airflow already on the mobo are more than enough.

i think he means the VRMs.

its not necesarry, but if a block exists, and you are doing watercooling already, and want a bigger epeen, do it :D

No I meant putting a water block in the mobo itself

Regardless of what you mean, watercooling a motherboard is not necessary.... It doesn't really improve anything. I don't even think there is a waterblock for motherboards (Someone can correct me on this).

unless you're doing hardcore overclocking, to the point where your northbridge/southbridge (can't remember which they call it now that the chipset is one of them) or VRMs are overheating, it's totally pointless (except ofc for epeen purposes, in which case liquid cool your HDDs too lol).

no, as it adds to potential points of failiure in a loop. will i do it with my loop when i make it? HELL YEAH xD

Should I liquid cool my mobo??

If you want to go balls to the walls water cooling, have extra money to spare, and the time sure, but there is no real tangible advantage in most cases, like SMURG mentioned.
