Windows not wanting to reset

Hey, I want to reset my Laptop (Windows pre-installed by Asus) but it doesnt pop-up the same as in all the tutorials I have seen. After pressing the option "Keep my files", it asks me to get (translating it from Frensh) an "installing support or backup support". Does this mean I have to get a fresh install of Windows ? Does it still remain activated ?

That sounds like the installation source files are not in the system partition. If your haven't made a recovery usb, you will need to do a fresh manual install of wUSB,.

If it came with windows 8 or newer, you will have a hardware ID taken registered with Microsoft that matches your machines hardware. Once windows connects to windows update it should self activate.
