Are USB 3.0 PCIE x1 expansion cards worth it?

So recently swapped my old case and power supply for new ones but my case comes with a USB 3.0 20 pin plug; my motherboard doesn't have a USB 3.0 20 pin socket however I've found a USB 3.0 expansion card for PCIE x1 with both USB 3.0 ports and a 20 pin socket. My question is, is PCIE x1 fast enough to take full advantage of USB 3.0 or not?

Yes, it's fine. PCIe 3.0 X1 is plenty for USB 3, and besides, you wouldn't have much of an issue with a slightly slower connection.

You can always look up the bandwidths of every interface.

This is one of my favorite wiki pages.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_interface_bit_rates

PCIe 3.0 1x is 8Gb/s

USB 3.0 is 5Gb/s

Now, if the devices you want to plug in are what used to be called USB 3.1 or "SuperSpeed+" devices, that runs at 10Gb/s so you'd run into a bottleneck.
