Help Ram issues

i have a 2700XT with a asrock b 450 pro 4 motherboard and 8x2gb of 3000mhz Patriot Viper 4 ram, the ram wont run at anything more than 2133mhz and now task manager says it has 8gb in hardware reserved

both sticks of ram run independently but wont let themselves be set to xmp or anything higher than 2133mhz memory speed or it will boot cycle and then reset the settings

ok, i switched around the ram sticks in their slots and now all 16gb is loaded but wont run any higher than 2133mhz

is this an issue with the Ram or the Motherboard?

you could try either stick alone at higher speed

do you use slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 ? (dual channel)

does CPU-Z show the XMP timings ?

one stick alone doesn't let itself be clocked higher either, i know that my pc wont boot in the wrong ram configuration too, it doesn't show anything about xmp in cpu-z

Maybe Bios update ?

Sorry, its called xmp on your board, in the oc tweak section of the bios.

this is basically the same bios as i have... there's nothing that says docp

yes, if i enable that, it cant boot

it causes it to boot cycle for 5 or so times and then resets to previous Settings

Did you tryanually entering the timings and voltage listed on the cpuz for 3000?

its kinda funny cause the Ram says C16, but CPUZ says CL 18, so yeah maybe try the CPUZ numbers manually.
