Warzone Issues still with 5900x & EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 | June 16, 2021

kyookyoo

I was wondering if anyone knows what the issue I may be having. I can't seem to pinpoint why warzone itself is having issues for my system when every other game i'm able to play above 180 FPS on max or almost max setting on 1440p.

TLDR of parts: (Full list below)

CPU: 5900X

RAM: 2x16GB 3600MHz CL16
GPU: RTX 3080
PSU: 750W / 1000W (tried both)
Monitor: 240Hz 1440p

Things to note/tried:
- I have latest BIOS, chipset, & GPU drivers as on June 16, 2021
- PBO enabled

- XMP enabled
- PCIE x16 lane is set to GEN4

- GPU is on stock EVGA settings

- Have tried with a 1000W PSU with no difference

- Have repasted and reseated my CPU cooler

- Have tried a Noctua NHD15

- I have reformatted Win10 & reinstalled drivers

My issues:
- I remember getting 150-180 fps on MAX 1440p settings during my first two months with both components back in Nov-Dec 2020.

- Now I can barely get 100-120fps and medium settings at 1440p and I have to restart my game at least every other game or every game of warzone because my frames will dip below 80 fps.

- I have tried ctrl+windows+shift+B which helps a little, but does not get me back to 120fps.

- When DLSS was released to Warzone, I was getting 150-180 fps on quality settings, but turned it off due to optic issues found my JGOD, now the new DLSS fix gets me 110-150 fps, which I find very strange

- I also have stuttering issues & packet loss (which I think is tied to me playing on wifi which I cant get around), the stuttering here n there, idk why it happens still

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Do you have it streaming textures? I enabled that because use an ethernet cable straight from my router and have solid download, if you're on wifi you'd want to make sure that's disabled.

Can't really reference performance as I run a different resolution, I'm running mostly higher settings + balanced DLSS (IIRC, if I remember I'll boot it up again tonight) at 4K with a 6950X and 2060 Super, pull a solid 60fps.

If u have rgb software such as icue or nzxt cam running try turning it off then test the game. I tried it today and warzone has never run so smooth.

Did you turn RTX on?🤣 Dips requiring a restart to fix sounds like a genuine problem somewhere though. Reset all settings and reload shaders, after that I'd try reinstalling the game if only Warzone has issues.

Just checked, my 3090 at 1440p everything maxed, RTX/DLSS off gets 160-200 FPS in nuketown, averaging 175-185ish just measuring by eye

Yes I do, I have ASUS Armory Crate & Corsair iCUE open. But I've also played with it off which sadly doesnt make a difference :(. Glad it works well for you though!

Nope, no RTX on. I've tried messing with all the other settings with DLSS on/off. My max with everything on lowest settings is around 180fps, when looking online people are getting 200+ on lowest settings on 1440p with 5900x + 3080.

Also I only have this issue with Modern Warfare / Warzone now. Cold War is zero issues.

Packet drops could also well be server sided and have nothing to do with your rig or ISP. The most interesting part is the FPS drops people with latest gen hardware experienced in few weeks. Wouldn't be surprised at all if in the end it turns out that the game mines crypto in the background when it detects an RTX or RX GPU.
