Is keyboard light blinking normal in sleep?

My keyboard light blinks when i press keys during sleep. Is it normal with USB keyboard. I always used ps2 keyboard and those didn't had these problem.

h61 gigabyte

6gb ram(3.7 gb usable)

Go through the bios settings... some BIOSes allow you to configure  Power on keyboard press  or to visually blink keyboard led on sleep/suspend 

Or the keyboard itself may blink the led when it can't communicate with the PC because the pc is sleeping. 

No idea... but it's not a fault or something to be worried about (as in the keyboard may break)
