Looks good, though I don't know anything about that wifi adapter but I have an older TP-Link and like it.

Blah blah blah monitor resolution, games you play, omg you can get almost the same performance with XXX and YYY....

You'll be good for 1080p and 1440p (including UW), enjoy.

Swap the B550 for an X570 and swap the 5600X for a 5800X. The extra cores will help much with video editing 😉

Overall, looks like a really well rounded build.

The only advice I'd have would be that, if you want to do video editing and streaming, since you have money left over in the budget, you could consider a 5800X. You'd likely be able to take advantage of the extra cores.

That said, you probably need the budget headroom for the graphics card...

Overall a good setup.

Not really necessary but a few things comes to mind.

- 3200mhz is fine but 3600mhz would be better.

- Phanteks Eclipse P350X only has one case fan so maybe add at least 1-2 extra case fans.

-You haven't mentioned any CPU cooler so I guess you plan to use the stock cooler.

The stock cooler works but it isn't great.

A cheap 120mm/140mm tower air-cooler would be better.

You could also get a motherboard with built in wireless for a few dollars more, but maybe cheaper than buying wireless card separately.

The X570 does look better, and yes, I should have considered the 5800X. Thank you!

I will swap the 5600X for the 5800X. Thanks! I hope the RTX 3080 comes to a reasonable price sometime in the future.

I added a Noctua DH-D15S for the CPU and 6x 120mm for the case. I take it the ones that go on the top of the case are configured for pushing and the ones on the front for pulling, right?

Noctua NH-D15S is always a win 🙂

Standard config for your case fans would be:

Front intake

Top/rear exhaust

Your case only supports 5 fans. The stock 120mm should be good for rear exhaust. I recommend 2 140mm's for exhaust on top and 2 140mm's for intake in front. They are more efficient than 120mm resulting in a quieter system with the same temps. Prices are usually the same.

Also you need a fan hub, your motherboard only has 3 fan connectors. Or only get 2 extra fans, usually 4 and above won't have any benefits.

Rather than spending money on a hub, he could spend 10-15$ more on the motherboard and get something with more fan headers and better connectivity on the back.

For example, you have at 200$  https://pcpartpicker.com/product/vFhmP6/asus-rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-wi-fi-atx-am4-motherboard-rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-wi-fi

Has better sound (alc1220) , 2.5gbps ethernet , wifi6 instead of just wifi 5, no fan to fail on the chipset, bios flashback feature, and at least 5 fan headers (3 chassis, 2 cpu , one water pump header)

The x570 board is listed at 193$ on pcpartpicker, maybe you get it cheaper somewhere else, but still...

And if you don't mind just Wifi5 (802.11ac) , you have Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC at around 197$ : https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FMxbt6/gigabyte-b550-aorus-pro-ac-atx-am4-motherboard-b550-aorus-pro-ac

Solid motherboard, very good VRM (12 phase for cpu), again better sound (ALC1220), 2.5 gbps ethernet , bios flashback, no fan on heatsink, better io on the back, at least 6 fan headers (1 x CPU fan header, 1 x water cooling CPU fan header, 4 x system fan headers, 2 x system fan/water cooling pump headers)
