Ps5 won't go 120hz with my Samsung lc27jg52qquxen monitor

So my monitor is a Samsung 27inch curved 2560x1440 at 144hz.

I know my monitor is working at 144hz as my pc is constantly running the frame rates.

Using the HDMI 2.0 port,

Using the new HDMI cable that comes with the ps5,

And I've changed the ps5 settings to performance mode.

But I still can't get 120hz??? IMG-20210611-WA0003.thumb.jpeg.3921bd06c1b9b117a1984eb44d0d0727.jpeg

Have you tried going to ‘Settings’,  select ‘screen and video’ and go to ‘Video Output’. Then select to enable 120Hz output under 'Enable 120Hz Output'?

HDMI 2.0 only supports up to 1080p 120Hz on the PS5.

To enable the 1440p 120Hz setting, you need an HDMI 2.1 input on your display, which you do not have.

Unless there's an update I wasn't aware of, PS5 doesn't support 1440p.

OP: Some monitors aren't supported because of timings (for now) check your monitors timing in the manual and see if it's VESA which is supported and not SMPTE

You can't get 1440p on ps5, it's either 4k or, as in your case, it'll revert to 1080p.

I think you also need a TV or monitor with a 2.1 HDMI port to then access the 120hz mode.

So, you either need a new 4k screen with HDMI 2.1 that supports 120hz (which may be expensive), or you can find one that is 1080p and 120hz with the 2.1 port.

At least, that's how I understand it.
