Gigabyte or Palit?

Found out a decent way to get a beefy GPU at a decent price point being £30 above MSRP.

 

There is an option from Palit and Gigabyte.

Palit GamingPro Ampere

Gigabyte EAGLE Ampere Graphics

 

What are the key differences and which one is better (they're both basically the same price).

I would get the GPU that boosts higher. I don't know exactly what the differences are but that's how I determine it.

and that's a terrible way. Cards with high boost clocks can still have issues like unsatisfactory VRAM cooling.

Palit GamingPro is on hardware more appealing. The heatsink is thicker, roughly the same length and it doesnt make the VRAM share the same contact plate with the GPU core to the heatsink like the Gigabyte Eagle does

 

but being a bigger company, Gigabyte should on average handle repairs and returns better than Palit. This is region dependent however.

As in you should stop doing so. Graphics cards are expensive especially these days, they are worth deeper thought than looking at factory overclocks.
