Hey guys,

I got RTX 3070 and I have some problems, while trying to game I'm getting 50-100% CPU usage and getting 1% GPU usage( Core I7-9700k). I've tried reinstalling drivers, updating bios even reinstalling windows, nothing helps.

Now, before you guys start shouting the B word.. It should be any bottlenecking, every calculator online says that those CPU GPU combo should work great together.

Its weird and at this point idk what to do, I don't want to get my old 1080 back into the pc, any ideas :)?

Pc:
Core I7-9700k
RTX 3070 8Gb
32GB DDR4 3000Mhz

cant even say the B word without knowing what the CPU is

tried DDU? though reinstalling windows (from a USB) should reset everything

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

display plugged into the GPU instead of motherboard? is the iGPU (if not disabled by default) usage high?

every calculator online says

Bottleneck calculators are useless. The weak point of your system depends on the software you're running.

Does your performance look like you're only using 1% of the 3070? Is it worse than your GTX 1080? What games and resolution/settings? I would recommend changing the graphics settings first, and use some different software to monitor your GPU usage. Something might be wrong with whatever program you're relying on currently.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Bottleneck calls are more bs than userbenchmark, and that’s saying something. That basically just make up numbers

what is your ram configuration? Is xmp on? If you have 2 sticks which slots are they in?

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Mmmm it doesn't look good lets say that and I'm getting 60ish fps. I'm just using the task manager and some other programs all says the same, I just installed the new drivers ( literally released  rn and the GPU now uses 20%. now, when i do any type of benchmarking ( as unigine or Cinebench) GPU works at 100%.
And yes seems like it is worse or the same as my 1080. And yes i've change the graphic setting multiple times and used different games

What games and resolutions are you playing?  That CPU/GPU should be pretty well balanced, playing something like valorant in 1080p I could see a 100 CPU/20 GPU utilization but even then..

Asus Dual 3070 + EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3070 GPU(S)

Asus ROG Strix B550-F Motherboard

Corsair H100x AIO

Use HWInfo or HWMonitor to detect GPU usage instead of task manager

Everything is only FHD. I'm mostly playing COD MW, MFS2020, Cyberpunk and some other games you don't really need a graphics card for them like Among us stuff like that.

with the 1080 I was streaming MFS2020 without getting even close to 100 CPU. Now its like the graphics card doing nothing between 1-10% and I really don't know what to do. and the graphics looks worse then with the 1080

So I used the HWMonitor and it says the the GPU is at like 90% with 230W which is what the specs says so i guess everything is good?
Idk anymore

Anyone want a new 3070 ? lol

I would reach out to customer support for your GPU and see if they have a recommended fix.
