Gigabyte or Asus ?

Hey guys.

So my current plan was to get X570 AORUS PRO from Gigabyte, I generally hear good things about, however after having read up on some of their drivers / software, I'm starting to get a bit nervous.

I'm going to have some RGB stuff from other brands like G-Skill ram, Asus 3090 GPU, Lian Li UNI Fans, and although I am aware that RGB Fusion won't be able to sync to all of them, I heard that the program is so bad it even cause crashes and BSOD for some.

Does anyone have any experience with this and would based on this, maybe recommend a different motherboard from maybe Asus like the 570 Strix or Pro ?

tldr; Should I consider a different brand instead of Gigabyte motherboards due to RGB Fusion and their other software being terrible?

Cheers

if you want to spend 360 on a mobo then I suggest going with a Asus hero or Asus Crosshair Dark hero.

So long as you're willing to put in some work setting it up, OpenRGB replaces the universally recognized RGB-control-wrapped-bloatware that all board manufacturers  call "software" with something that's actually competent.

https://openrgb.org/

https://github.com/Drumber/RemoteLight

(plugin that will restore some of the ARGB functionality)

I'm currently running an X570 Aorus Master (going on three weeks). Happy with the board thus far. It's given me zero issue in terms of core function. Default fan curve is a little aggressive (surprisingly). Skip the bloatware "features" from their downloads section. stick to the core essentials, drivers and UEFI updates.
