I tried playing the open beta for Chivalry 2 that is available via the Epic Store however, when I launched the game I was met with an alert from my Antivirus/Firewall software stating “Suspicious process attempted to open a file protected by Data Protector” and that Chivalry 2.exe was blocked from accessing Microsoft’s RSA folder. What should I do in this situation? I have already uninstalled the beta, is there anything that I should be considered about?

We need to know what antivirus you're using.

It's obviously a false positive, probably reacting to the games anticheat or something.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

lol. What software would you recommend?

Windows Defender is more than adequate. Most of the big-name commercial antivirus brands are a ripoff at best and indistinguishable from malware themselves at worst. Let me guess, Norton came with your computer?

anti-Virus is sometimes okey.

just don't think they will help and sometimes they can be abusive. Like if you do everything you need, backups, secure files, etc. then the built-in windows defender can be enough to keep windows intact to ad/content block on browsers and not clicking on shady links or install something shady. Some of these an Anti-virus is NOT going to protect you agaisnt.

At least norton is not McAfee, but when its added as bloatware on your PC most anti-virus can be a bit... annoying or abusive. Then you have performance loss due to scans by the anti-virus.

i wouldnt say false positive necessarily, more like PuP (potentially unwanted program)

Sure user could still decide to install it, but personally Id like to at least know when Epic Games tries to install a rootkit like "anti cheat" on my computer (and would  obviously decide against it)

yes, not all anti-cheats are good or for the consumer, and can be harmless?

Also with DRM's, where some DRM as seen in the beginning of... DOOM I think? where DRM could impact your storage or some nonsense.

To the use of multiple DRMs.
