As of the 11th gen (i5 and above), you can now enable XMP on the B560 and H570 chipsets. Previously, this was reserved for Z Series mobos only. In other words, you should be fine.

I haven't used the newer 11th gen processors from Intel yet.

How are they with support of XMP and memory speeds?

 

Intel officially states 3200mhz support for the 11400, but I'm hoping it will run 3600mhz and be stable.

I put a Ryzen 3600 system together recently and it ran the 3600mhz CL16 memory without issue, but not sure about the intel platform.

Yeah, I was reading that about the b560 chipset and that intel opened it up for memory OCing. I just wasn't sure if it would run at 3600 speeds stable or not.

Have you happened to run such a configuration, or similar, successfully?

No, I'm running AMD. However, it shouldn't be an issue. 3200MHz is what you'd be able to run *without* XMP, so XMP would be pretty useless if it couldn't step you up to at least 3600MHz.

Whether you can overclock memory only depends on the motherboard. With B560, yes you can

 

3600MHz is also easy to run for Intel CPUs, it should work no problem

I'm having an issue about that. I have two 8gb memory sticks, one is 3000mhz and other 3200. On my older motherboard (AMD) a was using XMP just fine but now with a new processor and motherboard (b560m ds3h) when I enable XMP it just wont boot. Any thougts?
