I don't think i will actually do a custom loop for my current build but how much would it cost to do a custom loop in general and for my my build specifically (http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/9338-mnemoysne/). and is there an easy way to make a custom loop (PCpart picker thing).

I hope you don't take any offense, but I really wouldn't watercool that rig. It's not worth it to cool a low end i5 that's not overclockable, and you're not going to much more performance out of the 9600 GT/7770.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

I know I'm just wondering how much would it cost in general for a custom loop. I honestly don't need any more cooling for my computer but I just want to get a feel for how much it would cost.

Ah, in that case, you would need to know how much radiators you want to put in your rig. A low end loop should cost like $200 - $300 USD. Mid range loop would be like $400 - $600 USD, and a high end loop would be $700 to more than $1000 USD.

I was looking into a cheap one and found it would cost me around $350 minimum and a lot more max. I only wanted to do it for the looks not bc I needed it. But it was for my old computer and I figured a 350 dollar investment on a computer I practically never use that wont help performance that much wasnt worth it.

Just checked out your build. I think if you are just trying to go for the bling factor sleeve those cables. You can buy what you need for under 50 dollars and then it just takes time. Or buy a new psu that has nicer cables. Like a corsair cx 500 m.

how much would something like this cost? Is using a premade loop to make a custom loop plausible?

Mid range being, like a 5.25" bay res + pump with two 240x25mm radiators, blocks for 1 CPU and 1 GPU, tubing fittings and stuff from alphacool? I recently filled a shopping card just for fun and ended up somewhere around 400€ for a single GPU setup.

That alone convinces me, that a Prolimatech MK 26 black edition and a CPU AIO is probably the better choice, allthough it doesn't give you the satisfactory feeling of owning a cool, quiet, and nice looking system. :P

who cares...

That was something else i was going to ask about. Where could i get sleeving and stuff i need? and Do you know a good guide for it? (Linus's wasn't that great if i remember)

Use Paracord for sleeving. And use these tools to help.

Links:

http://amzn.com/B0094MIS9U

http://amzn.com/B008PTOEQE

http://amzn.com/B00HV1SON6

Optional:

http://amzn.com/B0053PYF62

This is what you need to do a good job sleeving your own cables. But their are other options. And if you are sleeving your own it works a lot better with a fully modular psu.

A good guide is here. Just google for guides on removing the pins with the tools.

You dont need the special sleeving tool just slide the cord over the molex pin remover (first link) and heat to fix loose ends. Then tape pin and slide through cord.

Is it easy to mess up? I am willing to take time to do it but I don't want to mess it up.

Well here's what I'm looking at when it comes time to build mine (Lot's more to do before that happens):

https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=284362&action=wish_lists

+/- a bit of cash, I'm going to be bulk ordering the tubing and fittings from the next site I mention since it should work out slightly cheaper.

In terms of cable sleeving, unless you really want the entire cable sleeved straight from the PSU, the other option you have is to use sleeved extension cables, which I know you can get in just about any colour you can think of (And some you can't) over at http://www.frozencpu.com

The thing to keep in mind is that watercooling can, from what I've seen (And I haven't experience with it yet, but I've done a fair bit of research), it can get really expensive really quick, especially with fans/fittings. Like, I could spend another $10 on each of those fans to get Noctuas, plus another $29 to replace two of the fans I currently have. But see, there's another $100 just there. Again, fittings can burn into the budget really quickly as well

Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 | Mouse: Razer Deathadder 2013 | Headphones: Sennheiser HD438s | Mousepad: Razer Goliathus Control | Monitor 1: Benq XL2430T | Monitor 2: BenQ RL2455HM

Sleeving can be easy to mess up the first couple times you attempt it.  I had a couple sleeves come out of the heat shrink when I was plugging everything back in which was annoying.  But it looks sweet when it's done lol!  If you care about how your pc looks then it's definitely worth it.

I used a heat-shrink free style with the paracord and haven't had any issues with things coming undone. As long as you use the proper tools to remove the pins from your psu they won't be damaged.

I agree with sand0oski that is looks amazing.

Well I used MDPC-X sleeving so I can't speak to Paracord.  But I just measured say for example 1 of the 24 Pin wires, then multiplied that by the number of wires their were.  And just did that for everything that I wanted to sleeve.  Plus a little extra lol.  Sleeving is addicting though so watch out.
