RVZ03 Cooler Help

I'm getting the rvz03 and I've seen reviews saying that it doesn't actually fit 83mm coolers. Should I just keep my NH-L9i or should I return it and try to get something better? (For an i5-11400) And any recommendations on a cooler?

I have a L12S in my RVZ03. I've got the fan above the sink as well with a little bit of room for clearance. I'd keep the L9i, try it, and then if you need better cooling look into the L12S or similar.

I went for the L12S since everywhere I looked I saw terrible performance for the L9i on most chips. I used your recommendation and Noctuas performance rating on their site to make the decision. I'll update about how my temps are when the case gets here (which is by June 3rd, thanks company I gave $150 for a case and still use FedEx). And by the looks of some suggestions online I may make a shield to prevent the cooler from recycling air.

It ends up being a stuffed case. I've actually been thinking about changing it out for something else with a little bit better airflow, but I've also got a 5800x in mine. I really like it for it's size, but I feel like it could do better for the size if that makes sense.

I see what you mean. I'm not afraid to do a bit of case modding if I have to, this computer I'm working on was actually meant for an old PS2 case before that didn't work. I saw someone on youtube make a custom side panel to add a 240 AIO to it, didn't actually watch the video but this is the best-looking, actually small ITX case I could find that wasn't the Fractal Node 202. I really wanted to use the Fractal Node because it would match my room's aesthetic better, but I've heard it's one of the worst airflow SFF cases

I've been looking at the NR200 to just go water cooling and be done with it. The one thing that the RVZ03 has going for it is ease of breaking down to mod. Yeah you need a screw driver for the side(top) panel, but after that it's mostly just plastic tabs holding it together. I pulled a side panel off and made channels for USB power and a mini HDMI for an Aida panel. 

I do really like the case. I just wish for the price it had better airflow, shorter front IO cables and a bit better of a way to run PSU cables. That being said, I used a SFF PSU. If you're using an ATX you might have better luck running cables but have way too long of cables. I feel like for PSU cables an ATX PSU and custom shorter cables would be the sweet spot.

Glad to know about the ease of modding, I already have usb-c front panel planned for my game drive. I agree that it should have more for the money, the price tag was my biggest thing against buying, must be because they marked it up for the ITX and "gamer RGB". Now it's time to start planning some sort of airflow mod...

Ended up returning the L9i and just checked my bank. Amazon only gave me a partial refund even though I hadn't even used it? Dumb

Was the box opened? I'd be fighting it either way.

I opened the box to look inside when I got it, but I didn't even remove any plastic or parts. I'm trying to figure it out, but I don't wanna waste too much time fighting for $20
