In terms of performance? Probably a first/second gen i5.

Although that is 4 vs. 6 cores on the i5 and FX 6300 respectively.

 

Whether this processor is worth it, depends on the context (what you're doing with it, price, etc.), but something like a second hand i5 2nd gen system can often be had for pretty good prices.
