Other details I am making a new PC when selecting the parts a warning came up "Some Intel Z390 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using 32 GB RAM modules." My CPU would be: Intel Core i7-9700F 3 GHz 8-Core Gigabyte Z390 D ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Crucial 32 GB (1 x 32 GB) DDR4-2666 CL19 RAM. Is it easy to update the BIOS, is it worth changing one of the parts so i don't need to update the BIOS? Why does it say "may" as in do i need to update it or not?

You shouldn't really be using single channel RAM anyway. Switch to 2x16GB and solve two problems at once.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Is there a reason you need to go with a single 32GB stick? Also, that stick is only rated DDR4-2666. You can get these 2x16 Ripjaws for a little less money, and they are DDR4-3000: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/KMCD4D/gskill-ripjaws-v-32gb-2-x-16gb-ddr4-3000-memory-f4-3000c16d-32gvrb

Just so if i want to upgrade there is only 1 slot being used. (I know that new sticks need to be the same size)

Not necessarily. The most important thing is that the RAM can all run at the same speed and timings and, ideally, that they use the same type of memory chips. I actually have 48GB of RAM installed on my desktop right now - 2x8 and 2x16. They are all Team Group T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4-3000 16-18-18-38 sticks, just from two separate kits. I put one 8 and one 16 in each of the two channels, so that both channels have the same capacity.

What are you going to be using the computer for? In most cases, even 64GB is overkill. The only solo tasks I've done that break 16GB are video editing, working in Unity, and heavily modded Minecraft. The new Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition does brush against 16GB, but that's the only non-modded game I've found that does that.
