Ehtereum price dropped

Ehereumn price dropped so a lot of 1080tis are available, is getting one for $860 CAD (or in this price range)worth it? Obviously, it's not if we are talking from a 2019 standpoint, but at this point....

No.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

is your game worth $860 at 1080ti experience? e.e

only you can decide "worth"

most of us would probably say no

~Moved to Graphics Cards.

I would say not worth it. 1080 Ti mining is still quite profitable (you can check on https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator/nvidia-gtx-1080-ti for a ballpark idea).

Ethereum is eventually going to stop supporting mining. Then the era of mining with GPUs marketed at gamers might stop, if another profitable coin doesn't show up.

Honestly, anyone who can hold on for 6 months to buy a graphics card, I think they should. Right now if you have a current GPU, you can explore retro games and classics like Half Life / Portal / Terraria). It's a good time to try out new games that don't rely on photorealism.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

well not really.

the main question is when and if it remain profitable or not

besides there are other alternatives than mining or selling hw to gain money

but with the current demand, even if some miners decide to sell, the flood of gpu might not last too long or reduce prices

@Moonzy with the enlarged pill, you could get around 50mhs, on hiveon currently the pay is 10,50 usd for 100mhs so 5.25usd, excluding electricity

nicehash sucks
