I've been recommended to clean off the old thermal paste beforehand, so i've just used whichever thermal paste I have once re-applying. Never had a need to mix if that step is followed

So you have barely enough in either tube? How big of CPU are you trying to put on?

Yeah you can mix pastes. They're almost all made of the same thing, and they don't react with one another chemically. The main concern of not cleaning old paste is the creation of air bubbles but if you barely have any and need more it's not a concern.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Ah, dayum, I didnt see that reply. Well now I already cleaned it off and used the noctua, i hope its enough, not as much as Id liked...

But thanks, now I know for next time.

For the record the noctua paste was only good for 1 1/2 uses basically, I really  thought It'd be more, arctic  mx4 was good for 4 1/2 uses (was more in the tube though)

Oh well. 👀

Just glob it on there and find out. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.

Well, yeah probably would have, but I wasnt sure if it turns to acid or some shit! 😅 In hindsight... they would probably write some warnings if that was the case... well, the nt-h1 was bareley enough I guess, 33C idle, but I ordered 8g mx4 now anyways, better safe than sorry and should be good for a couple of proper "x-4dots™" applications!

I tried to "spread" the mx4 paste, but that was a pain and barely  covered 3/4 of the cpu. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just follow Intel's move. Put some toothpaste on there.
