Can I overclock my cpu with this cooler?

Hi! I couldn't overclock my cpu (DIDN'T TOUCHED VOLTAGES). If i touch them maybe the oc will be successful.

My question is can I overclock my Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83ghz to 3.4ghz with my Deepcool Gammaxx 200T?

While outside is 15c the cpu works at 60-62c at full load.

My mobo is Gigabyte G41MT-S2PT rev 1.1 and how much voltage should I add?

Thanks from now

You have a little head room for temps. Think that maxes out at 72c. I would try not to go over 1.4v

As long as your CPU temperatures staly below 80C under stress test you can always clock it higher if stable and add voltage if necessary. I wouldnt let it run hotter or voltages above 1.4V however, old things tend to be fragile.

But you wouldnt go far in frequency. G41 boards typically max out at around 340-342MHz FSB (stock for your CPU is 333MHz), while the best samples of motherboard hit the limit at about 360MHz. So, your OC range is realistically between 2.89GHz and 3.06GHz. More voltage will not help, only way out is to get a P43/P45 board for example.

Ofc, unless your board is miraculously better than those others tested.

I probably wouldn't give it more than 1.5v with that cooler.
