Gift for a Cancer Survivor friend from my 9-month savings and side hussle

Sanved Joshi

So one of my college friends was diagnosed with stage 4 blood cancer last year.

When he started his chemotherapy sessions, I made pact to myself that if he makes it through, I will gift him a gaming PC.

Last month, he had his last chemotherapy session and after a scan, doc cleared him. This week is his birthday, and his PC got delivered today.

I can't say I have seen anyone that emotional. I am happy that I helped him find some smile in these dark days.

Specs:

Processor: Ryzen 5 3600

Motherboard: Asus B450 Tuf Gaming Plus

RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz C16

GPU: EVGA 980TI Classified

Cooler: AMD Wraith Spire RGB

SSD: 240GB WD Green

HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda Compute

PSU: Thermaltake 650W 80+ Bronze

Case: Lian Li Lancool 215

Monitor: LG 22" 1080p 75Hz IPS (22MP68VQ)

Mouse: Logitech G102

Controller: Redgear pro wireless gamepad

(Keyboard he already had one)

For almost a year, I saved every penny I could and worked my butt off (sometimes even for sleepless nights) while trying to buy parts.

Needless to say, he frickin loved it!
