Posted May 11, 2021 Hi Everyone I need some help (if there is even a way) in accessing SAS drives that are in RAID 6 via a hardware raid controller ? We were running M-Files on the server and the mobo went (Lenovo M5 3650), and we are not going to replace it as buying a new server is cheaper than having Lenovo replace the mobo. We have backups to get everything back up and running, but would be nice to retrieve the data and not just toss it.. Any ideas on how to get in there, machine does not power up at all, stuck on Initializing, server techs have been out and their diagnosis was to replace mobo. Posted May 11, 2021 Ugh. And I suppose this hardware raid controller is part of the mobo? I don’t know if the hardware raid controller has pertinent data in it or not. Not a pro, not even very good. I’m just old and have time currently. Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake. Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
