RX 580 normal idle temps

Hello,

 

My PC case fans ramped up randomly when I wasn't using the PC (just once, all seems fine now) so I logged thermals to see if something is wrong. I noticed my RX 580 idles at around 55 C. Don't know about normal temps for this GPU but it seems high for idle (nothing on screen other than monitoring tools). However, when gaming, temps seems fine, with even most demanding games pushing max 78 C without ever throttling the card. Burner test pushed it to 82 C. Is this normal?

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Gpu tier list. Rtx 3000 and RX 6000 not included since not so many reviews. Tier S for Water cooling. Tier A and B for overcloking. Tier C stock and Tier D avoid.

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

That's normal for a blower card.

It's on the high end for a normal style.

If it's the latter, you might need to repaste and repad, but it's still normal.

It's not a blower card but I think I won't be removing the cooler (not that I'm not confident in my skills but I don't dare to risk anything in current GPU market lol)

yeh, i understand.

but when the market cools down, id suggest repasteing and repadding. foe now, just rise the fan curve a bit

you can use a fan curve for the xfx rx580 im using it and getting around 40-45C but still the max will be 75-80C thats normal for AMD cards they get hot but they can handle it, the important thing is the idle temps, since i have them low to keep things cool for my cpu and drives.image.thumb.png.f51c9b1c6eace5379d854b5c4e19182f.png
